After practicing Securities and Corporate Law in her home country of Ecuador, Maria Susana joined Oziel Law in 2019 bringing unique expertise and legal knowledge to our firm. She has valuable experience with incorporating companies, assisting private corporate commercial transactions, and facilitating IPO listings, all of which are crucial while she works closely with the various provincial regulators in Canada.
Being a native Spanish speaker, Maria Susana has helped several Latin American companies in bringing their business to Canada and continues to host presentations for Latin American audiences. With experience in both Civil Law and Common Law, she has a vast understanding of the different legal systems around the world, allowing her to specialize in assisting companies from both inside and outside Canada.
Maria Susana holds a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Toronto and finished at the top of her class throughout her legal academic career. Aside from Law, she has a background in literature having written several essays, many of which were nationally published in Ecuador. Maria Susana is also an avid runner having completed races at the Ultra Marathon distance and has worked with her favourite charities in giving back to her community.
