Maria Susana maintains a corporate and securities law practice focusing on corporate reorganizations, corporate governance, private mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings (IPO), and reverse takeover (RTO) transactions. She also provides advice to public companies on continuous disclosure obligations, shareholder matters, and regulatory compliance with securities laws and stock exchange rules. Maria Susana has assisted clients across a broad range of industries, including software, manufacturing, and blockchain.
Being a native Spanish speaker, Maria Susana has helped several Latin American companies in expanding their business to Canada and enjoys hosting presentations for Latin American audiences. Further, Maria Susana is an active member of the Latinx community, leading the Canadian chapter of the not-for-profit Latinas in Tech.
Maria Susana holds an LL.M Degree from the University of Toronto and finished at the top of her class throughout her legal academic career. Aside from Law, she has a background in literature and is passionate about the intertwines between law and literature, having published several essays on the matter. Maria Susana is also an avid runner having completed races at the Ultra Marathon distance and has worked with her favourite charities in giving back to her community.
