Allan Oziel’s practice focuses on providing a broad range of business, transactional, technology, and intellectual property law services to clients ranging from start-up ventures to growth-stage businesses.

Allan founded Oziel Law in 2012 after experience in big-law private practice and as corporate counsel for a public financial institution. His vision was to create a boutique business and technology law firm geared towards modern companies that, leveraged best-in-class technology to create a unique, client-focused experience.

Allan has been recognized as a top technology lawyer by Best Lawyers, has been listed as a Lawyer to Watch by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, and was twice nominated for Top 25 Lawyers in Canada.

He is also an active writer and speaker in the legal community on technology and intellectual property law, legal practice management, legal software, and legal marketing. Recently, Allan has been a guest speaker at the Canadian Technology Lawyers Association’s annual conference, Canadian Lawyer’s LegalTech Summit, OBA TechXPO and has had numerous engagements for Oziel’s partners, LatAm Startups, Accelerator Centre, Acceleration+ and HalTech Innovation Centre. In addition, he is the past Chair of the Law Society of Ontario’s Solo and Small Firm Conference, the past Treasurer and Director of the Canadian Technology Lawyers Association.

In his spare time, Allan enjoys spending time with his family and playing/watching basketball.
