Our associate Yonida Koukio moderated a panel discussion on “Competition Authorities Enforcing Consumers’ Privacy in the Digital Age: Canadian and International Updates” at the Canadian Technology Law Association‘s 2022 Fall Conference focusing on data disruption and managing changes in data, technology and law.

The panel discussion featured Alexandra MitretodisMichael Caldecott, and Étienne Tremblay-Guérin, who spoke about the Competition Bureau’s perspective on the intersection of privacy and competition law enforcement; recent amendments to the Competition Act and their significance in a privacy context, class action considerations; and how Canada compares with other jurisdictions.
