On October 10, 2023, our associate Yonida Koukio co-chaired the Ontario Bar Association’s Privacy Law Summit, along with Ronak Shah, Privacy and Regulatory Affairs Counsel at Cohere.

Yonida moderated the discussion with Mirka Snyder CaronJordan Solway, and Luca Lucarini on the regulatory landscape and recent updates, as well as the challenges and opportunities around automated decision-making systems and consumer protection in Canada.

This year, the Summit also featured panels on access to information, data protection in healthcare, privacy considerations in commercial transactions, facial recognition technology, and ransomware attacks in the public sector.
