On August 27, 2025, our Associate Yonida Koukio presented at the Ontario Bar Association’s Speaker Bureau series #Verified: Legal Basics Every Influencer Should Know (But Isn’t Told) designed to equip rising influencers and content creators with the considerations to keep in mind as they build their brands and leverage their online influence, in order to avoid legal pitfalls and to comply with relevant rules and regulations.

In the interactive session on Understanding Influencer Agreements, Yonida explored real-world scenarios relevant to influencers, including affiliate programs, collaboration agreements, and hiring freelancers. She examined key provisions commonly found in these agreements and highlighted issues that are often overlooked but can carry significant consequences.
