Key Responsibilities

  • Support client onboarding, engagement, and conflict checks
  • Prepare and file articles and corporate documentation relating to simple/complex incorporations, partnerships, organizations, amendments, and transactional matters.
  • Prepare and maintain corporate records, including by-laws, resolutions, registers, and ledgers, including through the use of entity management platform
  • Provide legal administrative support to the firm’s lawyers

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1–3 years of legal assistant experience
  • Law Clerk or Paralegal diploma preferred
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • The following background/experiences would be an asset:
    • Working knowledge of Corporations Canada and the Ontario Business Registry; and
    • Proficiency in legal software (eg. Clio, Athennian), cloud-based software, G-Suite, and Microsoft Office applications
